Where It All Started

Welcome to the home of Galaxies kennel. We are a small kennel where each dog is a special member of our family . Our home is located in the beautiful valley of Palmer Alaska. Nestled at the bottom of majestic mountain peaks, we enjoy the peaceful quiet in this land of "The Midnight Sun". The awesome wonders of this land & the splendor of its nighttime galaxies, have been the inspiration of our kennel name.

I’m Cori, and I’ve loved and bred dogs since 1991, beginning with Shetland Sheepdogs in California. I’ve long enjoyed studying pedigrees, color genetics, temperament, and breed standards. My two children are actively involved in caring for and loving our dogs and puppies.

While we no longer breed Newfoundlands or, at the present time, Shetland Sheepdogs, we cherish our history with them. Our love for Golden Retrievers began with a special female from the Gold-Rush kennels—and the rest is history. We are also excited to have German Shepherds again.

Our priority is producing healthy, beautiful, well-structured dogs with stable, loving temperaments who bring lifelong joy to their families.
